For 24 hour companionship care in the home:

An Abiding Love companion can work up to two weeks straight (24/7). After that another companion or family member needs to step in for at least a week before the original companion returns.
An Abiding Love companion should be allowed eight hours continuous sleep time, barring any emergencies, and a minimum of four hours for breaks during each 24 hour period.
Billing will reflect increased prices if a companion works longer than 10 hours in a day.
The client’s home should provide adequate private sleeping and bathroom accommodations for the Abiding Love companion or other accommodations should be made.

If there is a need for night time care, either another companion will be needed for night duty or a balanced schedule will need to be agreed upon.
Meals or funds for groceries should be provided for the Abiding Love companion. Receipts will be provided for reimbursement as well.
A car should be available to the Abiding Love companion for break time, transporting the client, and running special errands for the client, if needed.
If the client does not manage personal finances, a petty cash fund should be provided to purchase supplies, household needs and groceries in the home.
